One shortcut hides your desktop clutter, your Dock, and the apps that pop up mid-call — then puts everything back exactly as it was.
Download for macOSYour screen is tidy. End when you're done.
You share your screen and there it all is: 23 files on the desktop, a folder called final_v3_REAL, and a WhatsApp message sliding into the corner for everyone to read.
The fix is a dozen fiddly steps you do in a hurry, then forget to undo. Backstage makes it one keystroke, both ways.
Hit it before you click Share, and again when you're done. No Accessibility permission needed — no scary system prompt.
Icons hidden, Dock tucked away, optionally a clean wallpaper.
Pick the ones that interrupt — chat, mail — and they're hidden for the duration.
It records how things were first, and only undoes what it changed. If your Dock already auto-hid, it stays that way.

In the Shortcuts app, make a shortcut using the Set Focus action set to Do Not Disturb On, and a second one set to Off. Enter both names in Backstage and press Check. Every other feature works with no setup.
Backstage isn't code-signed yet, so macOS will block the first launch. Until it's notarized, here's the way around it:
If macOS still refuses, clear the quarantine flag:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Backstage.app
